More Confirmation of iPad 2 High Resolution 'Retina' Display

An addition image of a wood background found in the new iOS 4.3 developers release shows a doubled resolution, further supporting previous rumours of an high resolution screen for the upcoming iPad 2.  This confirms 2 X resolution and 4 X pixels on screen, which makes me want to empty my bank account already!

  3. Thanks brahs! The iPad 2 seems to be shaping up really well, but honestly you probably won't notice a huge difference until it's been out for about 6 months and people start releasing apps designed specifically to utilize the faster hardware of the iPad 2. Developers are going to want to keep everything running on the iPad 1 so they don't loose out on sales (there are tens of millions of iPad 1's floating around out there).

If the iPad 2 has cameras and a retina display, those are two things you will obviously notice and benefit from immediately, but the faster computer chips will take a while to really shine.
